“Life groups: building community together”
This is our final week addressing the topic of community. Today I am specifically looking at the importance of lifegroups to the way we build community. Perhaps “lifegroups” is a term you are unfamiliar with, perhaps you know them as something else such as small
groups or bible study groups. I like the term lifegroups as it sums up what I think they should be all about: doing life together.
I trust you are challenged today to embrace the idea of lifegroups. If you’re in one already, fantastic, if you’re not yet - chat to Maja or myself to see how you can get involved.

“True community looks out, not in”
This week we are tackling the idea that we as Christians are called to love everyone, regardless of whether we like them or not. The saying “you don’t have to like me, you have to love me” sums this up pretty well - but can we actually love someone without even liking
them that much - is that possible?!?
It’s a big ask to go outside of our comfort
zones and love people we don’t have a natural connection with, but somehow I think it’s what we’re called to do...I hope this topic challenges and stretches you as much as it has me.

“We’re all in this together”
Today we’re looking at part 2 in our series
On Community - “we’re all in this together”.
Apart from the title to a couple of catchy
songs (please do not mention high-school musical in my presence),
this idea is vital to the people of God living as He intended.
Unfortunately we live in a very individualistic
culture, and it is very easy for us to live
“normal lives” according to society, but miss out on the fullness that comes when we live in true community with those around us.
We learnt last week how God in his triune
nature IS community, this week we’ll delve a little into how that ideal is expressed through us. I hope you enjoy this journey with us,

Today we are starting a new series on
Community, which is a topic central to God’s
character. The Godhead is in essence a
community – Father, Son and Holy Spirit
interacting and creating together out of their love for one another.
It is a picture we need to
grasp as we seek to build
together as God’s
representatives here on
earth.
